“Every painting is very special to me, not just because they are originals or because they take a great deal of time to prepare and paint, but because each painting is part of an overall life experience. It’s being at one with the water scene, being part of the sea, its power, beauty, and ever changing personality. It's being able to explore and in my case, attempt to reproduce, some of the most scenic and really beautiful coastlines and waterways in the world, that I have ever encountered. I have travelled around the world by sea, and not found a finer and varied coastline than here in Ireland."
